Financial Incest at Fidelis? (The Catholic Right, Thirtieth in a Series)

"As we all know the craft of the magician is to use slight of hand, diversions and ruses of all kinds to perform feats of illusion that astound and entertain us. Good political scandals often arise by use of the same technique. Certain ethically challenged groups and individuals launder funds and bend or even break laws to accomplish their political purposes. We have seen this repeatedly as Religious Right groups and sometimes, individual churches, have flagrantly violated the privilege of federal tax exemption in the pursuit of political power.

Dinesh D'Souza: Your Friendly Catholic League Advisor (The Catholic Right, Twenty-four In a Series)

"Meet Dinesh D'Souza. He sits on the Catholic League's Board of Advisors, former editor of the race-baiting  Dartmouth Review and advocate for buccaneering versions of unregulated capitalism.

Oh, and by the way, he is simpatico with the religious beliefs of your local al-Qaeda theocrat.

The UnDonohue (The Catholic Right, Twenty-three in a Series)

"Bill Donohue and the Catholic League behave in ways that are radically out of synch with basic Christian ideas. Instead, they appear to be more of a partisan political attack squad, currying favor with, and financed by the superfluously wealthy and powerful. As the League's spokesman, Donohue is vulgar, hypocritical and a racist. Nevertheless, the lazy mainstream media treats him as a legitimate identifier of, and responder to anti-Catholicism.

Who Are the True Agents of Apostasy? (The Catholic Right, Twenty-first in a Series)

"The PBS Frontline documentary, Hand of God., is the story of pedophilia victim Paul Cultrera. It is a disturbing illustration of an arrogant Catholic Church hierarchy that does not always practice what it preaches -- as well as a clear-cut case example of why no religious denomination should be allowed to exempt itself from equal justice under the law by pronouncing itself as its ultimate arbiter.

The Catholic Right, Part Six: Has Anyone Seen Bill?

"The new video game  Left Behind: Eternal Forces contains some of the most vile anti-religious, anti-Catholic bigotry marketed as entertainment for young adults.

William Donohue and his organization, The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, claim to speak against acts of anti-Catholic bigotry. Yet, neither Donohue nor his League for Religious and Civil Rights has uttered anything even remotely resembling a protest. Apparently his desire to speak out against injustice has its limits.

The Catholic Right, Part Five: The Everyday Implications of Theocracy

Submitted by RWMaster on Tue, 11/22/2016 - 18:31

"If the Religious Right were to succeed in establishing an American theocracy, or anything even close, the devil would be in the details. A preview is now being played out between the Catholic League on the theocratic Right and the Voice of the Faithful representing a full spectrum of mainstream centrist, liberal and conservative Catholics.
